I made these three clocks with identical movements, but each dial is different. The two outer clocks were given to my daughters as Christmas presents and the center, oak-cased version, remains on display in my shop. I originally designed and made the movements for pendulums, but later decided to remake them to utilize a more user-friendly hairspring balance wheel escapement. This allows the clock to be moved during operation, unlike a pendulum clock where you would disrupt the pendulum's beat setting. The escape wheel, pallet, and balance assemblies were taken from scrap Hermle movements and adjusted to fit my plates. The shop display clock includes minute and hour hands that I hand-cut, and which incorporate my name on the hour hand (I didn't have time to make three pairs before shipping the other clocks off for the holidays.)
